CGC Group/Suntory Grand Gold

Another one of those double brand beers (Suntory/CGC Group). I really don't get it why a major beer company has to pair up with a retailer to come up with a new beer product. The worst part of this is that this beer, new genre to be exact, has no taste at all. It is one of the most watery beers I have ever tasted. Complete waste of effort...if there was any effort at all.

Suntory The Premium Malt's / Koku no Blend

Suntory's website says that this beer is a mix of the regular Premium Malt's and the "black" Premium Malt's. And they don't lie, it tastes like a dark version of the regular brew. Unfortunately when you try to please regular beer lovers and dark beer lovers at the same time, you end up pleasing nobody. It's an in-between without its own taste.

Suntory The Premium Malt's

Called a premium beer and priced like a premium beer, but it is no better than some regular beer like Kirin Lager Beer. Tastes pretty good, but I’m missing that extra that would make it a premium beer. To be honest, I prefer Suntory’s regular Malt’s over this one.

I wonder why Suntory’s plain Malt’s is not that popular. I think it tastes better than its premium version “The Premium Malt’s.” maybe they should do something with the can design. It reminds me of some bakery goods rather than beer. Too plain. Not attractive in a beer-like way.

Suntory The Premium Malt's / Kaoru Premium

It has the usual The Premium Malt's taste with some added indescribable flavor to it. It feels creamy, reminding me of tiramisu or some other sweets. Not a guy's drink for sure. Looking at the commercials and other ads of this drink, probably it isn't intended for guys in the first place. Not bad, but not a "wow" thing.

Tastes better than Kirin's Nodogoshi, but taking into consideration that it is made up of 13 ingredients, it cannot be seriously called a beer of any kind.

Suntory Kinmugi Clear Label

Here is Suntory's latest bad boy Kinmugi Clear Label. The tagline states "nodogoshi sōkai" which means something like "goes down smoothly with a refreshing feel." That's actually true, but the bubbles disappeared pretty quickly which I think is a huge minus of this beer. I think it will sell well on hot summer days because of its smooth somewhat watery taste when people wanna drink anything as long as it's cold. I give it four stars**** out of five.
